Its been over a month since we returned from our Mexico trip.... the memories are still fresh, though they have started to fade a little. Oh! what a trip that was... full of new sights, new adventures and new acquaintances. Here's an attempt to capture it.
Day1: Cancun
The night had already descended when we descended into Cancun. From the sky we kept trying to guess where the ocean was with little luck. With the backpacks safely retrieved from the baggage claim we step out and are greeted by a whiff of warm air . "Just like India" I think "minus the smell ofcourse." Over dinner we discovered Herradura Tequila, which tasted amazing in Margarita and was our loyal companion for most meals in Mexico.
Day 2: Cancun
The dawn finally breaks and I spot the ocean, the cool blue...one of the best ocean colors I've seen. We spend the entire day on Isla Mujeres, going around in golf carts, doing some snorkelling and eating street food saying "mas picante por favor" (More Hot Sauce Please). On the way back the speed boat ferry , going at insane speed on choppy water, completely doused us :)

Day 3: Cancun
Today was the day I attempted scuba diving. Armed with a knee brace we head out to the scuba center. After a brief orientation we are hooked up with Scuba gear and head out to the training pool. For the most part the training went with little glitches and at the end of it we were comfortable breathing under water. Then came the final part... the real test in the sea. The boat took us out in the open... it was windy and the waves were huge. Looking at that fury, I lost my confidence thus stayed on the boat while others went down. I could see the fish from the boat itself! I was happy that atleast I attempted it and promised myself that next time without the knee brace I will jump in for sure.
